Memory DDR3 1600 to DDR3 1866

I'm upgrading my memory and i'm using ASRock z77 Extreme4 and DDR3 1600.i'm going to use DDR3 1866 and can this motherboard use 1866?the memory standard says DDR3 2800+(OC)/2400(OC)/2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/10661866(oc) mean i have to oc my 1600?? i dont get it. ...

Dont bother unless you are having problems with your current RAM. You will not see any difference in performance. [y]

Yes that RAM will work but you will probably need to set the speed and timings manualy in the BIOS.

im not going to mix them just take out 1600 and put 1866. both are 2x4gb so im just changing speed

If you mix memory speeds they will have to run at the lower speed (ie., 1,600).
