Good point Sidicas.  I'd probably disable the Aero if it was just my work machine.  I'd probably still use XP Pro if it were business related.

Don't forget, he is running Vista... And I expect even regular applications to be more graphics intensive with hardware accelerated animations and such in Vista..

But whatever.. Really, if it's a business computer, they'd probably just disable Aero anyway..

I wouldn't get a 7600 or higher for a 'business machine.'  A 7300/8400 from NVIDIA or HD 2400 from ATI would be good. Just integrated video would work as well.

LOL im such an idiot i meant to get a SATA drive

[/quote] It's not filtered because it's a curse word.. It's filtered to prevent people from attacking others..  It's best to stop flames before they start..

The Antec cases come with Antec PSUs.. So they're actually pretty decent quality..

If you're going to get a cheap video card, I'd suggest you get at least a 7600GS or 7600GT..

Specifically, I highly recommend either of these cards:

If you play games, get the GT.. It's definitely worth the few extra bucks.. If you don't play games, get the GS.. Not having a fan on the graphics card will add life to the card since you likely won't be replacing it anytime soon if you're not using it for games..

For the CPU, definitely drop that Pentium D and get a low end Core 2 Duo or switch to an AMD build..

Eesh, there are many things I would change, especially for customers.  Check out my $600 budget gamer builds on this sticky and just remove the video card, replace the given motherboard with one that has integrated video, or just get a cheap ATI HD 2400Pro or something. and the $100 saved from the video will go to getting an OS.

Just a side reminder.   Never use power supplies that come with a case.  Very cheap, very touchy.  They can take your whole computer with it if it goes.

choose a different case as the case you are planning to buy already has a power supply, get sata harddrives and dvd combo burners instead of IDE, sata has smaller cables so theres less clutter. Other than that its a pretty good computer.

dual core tends to go better with a business computer.
