Guys, I am sorry but this is the only thread topic find about mp3 . I have a question about MP3 format conversion may I post here, I really need an answer now. Recently I met a related problem. In fact, I want to convert XM to MP3 with this XM converter as you can see "http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/xm-converter.html". It mentions that it is capable of reducing audio size. But I do not know why, after convert XM to mp3, the XM file gets a little bit bigger. I do really not have much space in my portable player.

Cowon makes excellent (arguably the best) MP3/PMP players. They have a variety of models within a good price range. Check out www.cowonglobal.com (www.jetmall.net to order).

What are you looking for in an MP3 player. I looked into mine for a long time before actually buying is so i read a large deal on others. Tell me what you want out of battery life, video, size, features (like voice recording, line in recording, radio and stuff), capacity (say like around 5, 10, 20, 40gigs something like that). Do you want to run/work out with it or just have it in your pocket when your commuting or something.

I'll say this, if you want to run/work out with it, then get a flash MP3 player. They have less storage space because it isn't using a hard drive, but hard drive players can break if you run with them. Flash players have no moving internal parts so there is no disk to scratch. Also they are much smaller and lighter.

As for the itouch, i don't recommend it. It seems apple is getting desperate at inventing revolutionary products that they are just throwing products out there simply because they are different, not necessarily better. For the huge price, itouch is not worth it at all.
