Console sales are growing and PS4 exclusive games are gaining great attention. I really doubt that console games are going extinct.

Oops, hee hee. I like each platform for their strengths for specific types of games. Fighting, sports, team type(group of friends in the same room) and platforming types on the console and pretty much every thing else on the PC.
I have been and probably will always be partial to PC games.
1. They seem to be the more interesting and involving games
2. They are not limited so much by the consoles hardware, there's much more scalability and usually an ability to mod or change the game down the road or go back to a game and turn up the settings later on.
3. Hate the idea of the disposable system, I take my time on games, by the time I'm finished playing one there's usually a sequal on a newer console system and I end up paying $300+ to play one or two games, so why not just upgrade my PC (that I use for things other than gaming too).
4. Multiplayer - today most console games do have multiplayer but up until recently the PC was/and still is king of multiplayer which is loads of fun, consoles are finally catching up but you just can't do an MMO on a console IMO.
Some games that are done on console platforms are very limited where as a PC games are not. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Test drive unlimited
PS2 ver
118 missions only
American Army
PC has updates and newer maps
Console ver, does not have this
Delta Force: Black Hawk Down
Ability to down load maps that others make and able to get updates for NovaLogic.
Console Ver. can not DL maps or updates and not able to access expansion pack settings.
Console is good for sports, some driving games and fighting. Where PC rulz on FPS and simulation.

I find the board game version to be the best.
