New Build. Looking for some advice please

Hi, I am from the UK, and I am not a PC building enthusiast. I am in need of a new machine for which I will primarily run Adobe cs3, including Premiere and After effects. I also plan to do some 3dsmax and Maya work. I have a budget of around £1000 (which is roughly ($2000). From looking around these are some ......

Sorry about that I have corrected that now, as for the 32 bit versus the 64 bit I still use 32 bit XP but from what I have read others say it works real good with the new SP1 installed but the major problem is there are so few 64 bit programs out that utilize it the main question would be is it worth the cost and I have no idea there. You might want to post that question under Operating Systems.[Y]

For that same spec, what should I be looking at in terms of cooling for the CPU, GPU if need be?

Thanks Hog. I think the link you've given for the Mobo is wrong though. Would you also recommend that I use Vista 64X to make use of more RAM? Or are the comatibility issues with a lot of apps still a major concern?

If as you speced out that you plan on running Vista 32bit OS your OS will only recognize from 2.75-3.5 gigs of RAM and its closer to 3.25gigs so if you buy 2 X 2 gigs of RAM you will be losing the use of about 1 gig but it will probably be picked up by the Video Card. I tried to leave you several choices but I would advise you go with the EVGA mobo and VC however if you are only going with 1 VC go with the EVGA 780i mobo. If you do go with the 780i mobo you will then understand why I recomended the ddr2 PC8500 RAM.

Well I already have a 500gb hdd which I intend to use as a main data drive and i intend to set up a raptor swap/scratch disk.

When it comes to cooling, with those specific components, do I need to be aware of anything?

I would get alot more than 250gb HDD, and I don't know how good POV compares to others, but what you have is pretty nice.
